Polaris track in M8

Anyone know or if its possible to put a 2012 polaris 163 2" track on a 2008 m8

Cats run a 3" pitch and Polaris runs a 2.86" pitch. You'd have to change drivers too. That is if anyone makes such a driver to fit a M. I've never heard of it being done. If your running the old stock challenger track you'd be better off looking for a power claw.

I have a 153 power claw just wanted more traction in the bottomless powder. Would I have to change gears in chain case

M's don't have a chain case. They have a diamond drive. You wouldn't need to change your gear ratio you would need to change the drivers that drive the track to match the pitch of the Polaris track.

I run a Peaks track on my 09M8 and yes it can be done, however there are a couple of things to watch. First Avid drivers need to be installed and the window spacing is different than Cat. Second there are guides on the track that will need to be trimmed to clear the Diamond drive.
