Polaris RMK 800 turns over then dies

Put my sled in the garage to thaw out, this weekend I was trying to ride after 2 weeks of it sitting, when I went to pull start it the sled turned over then died a split second later. tried to pull it another 15 times and didn't get anything out of it. I tried to get it started again today and same thing it turned over and then died a split second later.

Next time it dies have someone hold the brake and you hold the throttle to the bars and keep pulling until it starts. Sounds weird on a EFI but it works.
Second, TPS switch in the throttle block.
Third, exhaust temp sensor.
All easy things to try...

What do you suggest to do with the TPS & the exhaust temp sensor?

I'm not a mechanic by any means so I have no technical tests however this is what I'd do. If the temp sensor is bad try switching with another sled if you know someone who has one. My 16 was acting up throwing a check engine code sometimes and we switched out the sensor and the problem went away. Second I would check the throttle free play make sure it's not too loose. If that appears good try to get your hands on a TPS by pass and plug it in to see if it runs right. Stuff like this can be frustrating I know, been there done that on many sleds. Always check the obvious first.

Any suggestions on what to do about finding and fixing the instrument cluster board? I have high and low beam lights working. Not sure about the hand thumb warmers cuz I haven't ran it long enough. Breaking in a new engine and it would be nice to know what the temperature is at if you know what I mean lol

And I am able to lift the back end of the sled off the ground with my chain block, so once again first pull it start then stop, so I held the throttle wide open and pulled it again and she fired up right away. While running it had crazy amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust. Had to keep playing with the throttle otherwise it died. After 3 times of doing that it has gotten better. Problem now is that the instrument cluster is not working grrrr. High and low beam works. The key is work's, not sure if the hand thumb warmers are working haven't ran it long enough to know. Would be nice to figure out the problem with the instrument board, trying to break in a new engine and without the temp reading makes it a little difficult to do lol

You mean TSS not TPS. TSS is throttle safety switch. Sled will start but not drive. TPS is throttle position sensor. Don’t touch it. Odds of it coming out of spec are slim. If tps is out idle rpm will not be 1800. If you think for some reason it is tps get a tps meter off amazon. I believe the spec voltage is 0.7VDC. With throttle cable removed from the lever.

Make sure you have the the wiring harness for the cluster board is on the cluster switches. If they are on the hand warmer switch’s dash won’t work nor heaters

The dash won’t be able to change what ever you have showing currently. Even if you try to use the dash buttons it will don’t change if you have the heaters and dash wiring mixed up

Well I know that I had all 3 of them plugged into the switches. There is one to change the mode on the cluster screen, another for hand thumb warmers, and the other for high low beam lights. Whether or not I had them plugged in to the right spots is the question. After having that problem I could not get the machine started, 12 hours later I turn the key pull the kill switch and pull and pull and pull and could not get it to start ever since. So I did a bunch of test with my multi meter, was getting the proper readings I think on the ignition coils spark plug caps, check the wires on the stator and they were fine the first time I checked. After checking all the wiring plugs, tried again still no spark. Change voltage regulator, still no spark. So I checked all the wires again with multi meter, this time I was not getting the proper reading from the stator wires. First time I checked it was 1. 16 which was supposed to be 0.9 so I checked again it was at 0.6. The other wires were supposed to be 190 I was getting 180.1. So I am assuming it is the stator. I ordered a new one last Monday. It was supposed to arrive on Friday according to the tracking number. It did not come in. They updated it to Monday February 3, still never arrived, updated to February4, still have not arrived. So I called the delivery place yesterday at the end of the day, because at this point my patience are running very thin. The headquarters couldn't say for sure when I would be receiving it but they were going to contact the depot place which is 2 hours away from my house and ask why it has not been delivered and to put a priority on it getting delivered is what they told me this morning. I am not very impressed with this delivery company to say the least. It has been sitting in the Wearhouse 2 hours away from me since last Friday, in my opinion that is bullshit. I am ready to jump in my truck and go pick it up, but that is going to cost me more money seeing as though I already paid for delivery. Winter is going to be over and I won't be able to get out there again for the second year in a row. Very frustrating when you are not working and you can't use your snowmobile other than look at it let me tell you
