I'm going to try a 3" track so looking if anyone has the polaris qd belt tools I can borrow or rent. Don't love having to buy a set for one use. I live in Highland and work in AF.

Any one know of a shop that will press on the drivers for a reasonable fee?

If your talking about the pulley guides, then your more than welcome to use mine. I'm not going to be near AF anytime soon, so you would have to go for a drive to get em.

i would just buy the tools...

what are you gonna do if you break a belt in the back country?

you can get the the belt on and off without the tools. done it several times in the back country. takes some patience and good steady hands, but its doable. I would just go for your project and not worry about the belt and pulleys, you can get those on just fine.

i would recommend removing the bearing on the belt drive to drivers though. will make your life much easier getting the drivers back in.

Thanks Eric, I'm at work all day today. available tomorrow. I'll send you a pm.

I"m kinda excited to wrench on my sled. I try a mod every other year and it never seems to be worth it, but I enjoy doing something.

As for not buying one, I know of no one that has broken one so I don't see the need. I'm more of a minimalist and avalanche gear and some survival gear is all I care to carry. All though when stuff breaks it is really nice to be ridding with
Andy Hopkins, that guy has everything!
