Polaris edge seat and tail light

I have an 02 800, how do you get the seat off when the wiring is ran through it for the taillight, Id like to recover the seat. On my 02 700 I thought it lays under the seat on the tunnel?

On my 02 rmk the wire is under the seat like you stated. Is your tail light mounted on your bumper?

If not there should be a disconnect somewhere it may be under your fuel tank.

I replaced the seat on an 02 600 RMK with a WRP seat and the wires had been run through a hole in the seat plastic at the back. I just cut them and soldered them back together and heat shrunk each wire and then heat shrunk the bundle together. Here's thumb pic of the sled with that WPR seat - 3" taller than stock seat. If you look close at the right rear of the seat, you can see what I did with the wiring harness.

Taillight is mounted on the bumper, I cut the wires and pulled them through the seat, reconnected them. when I went to go mount the seat it looked liked them might wires might get pinched under the seat?

it shouldn't get pinched, when I had an edge I just taped them to the tunnel to hold it in place, just keep in in the middle area and you will be good

Tail light

There is actually 3 bullet connectors under the right side hose cover. They don't help much though, you still have to pull them back through the seat after you take the aluminum guard off the tunnel. I just went to the RV supply and bought 2 three pin trailer light connectors. Put one in line up by the gas tank and another at the back of the seat.

there should be a 2 or 3, prong plug-in up by your gas tank. unbolt the seat, move it back, unplug it, and pull the wires through the seat.

Yes, there's a connector, but in my case, the hole through the plastic was way to small to let the connector pass through.
