Heard Kurt's Polaris in Seeley Lake had a way to use the 12 injectors in an 11. Need a spacer or something like that. I believe SLP has done it also from what I was told. Just in case you can't find any. You need to find out what color you have too.
TrueFrom what I'm told, the update converts all injectors to yellow which requires a new flash if you have blue or green injectors.
Just to clarify: So does that mean that you are using 2012 injectors or they areFrom what I'm told, the update converts all injectors to yellow which requires a new flash if you have blue or green injectors.
Quick question, what is involved in reflashing the ecu if you need new ones?
Is this job only for a dealer?
You got to take it to the dealer for a reflash. This means (for you and I anyway) hauling it to Sacramento, or Utah.
I talked to the local dealer here in town and mentioned the injector problem. Their reply was they hadn't heard of any injector problems. My gut immediatly told me to exit the store, but I left my sled anyway. 5 or 6 days had passed and they still hadn't looked at the sled so I went and picked it up, ordered the injectors from tri-city, and will have it running this afternoon.
It's too bad that these newer sleds need local dealer support as I love the Pro but the Reno dealers suck. The Cat dealer in Lake Tahoe is awsome (and a close friend of mine), but who wants to jump back onto an inferior machine.
I've heard good things about Sierra Sports and Marine in Reno and Thin Air. You might have already tried them though.
what makes an injector go bad? they just burn out like any other electrical component?
Thin air is closed. Read the above mentioned and you have the story with sierra sport marine.
