I'd like to learn how many people are having an issue

Do you believe your bog is AIR Intake Related>??

IS bog more then once per ride out. Check what your belt clearance is?

The P-22 seam's to have too much leads to belt slip > BOG

Just curious what guys are seeing

P-85 with .020 belt to sheave No Bog

Your correct the P22 seams to not be LESS aggressive as P85 on bottom end...here are my thoughts, with the roller bearing size it makes the clutch weight shorter...it also stands the weights up more than a P85 weight , meaning it takes off in like Second or Third gear..There is no real way to get .020 belt clearance on a P22, (thus why the belt groves the sheaves) sort of fixed, meaning NO shim washers for adjustment...Shorter weights dont allow the clutch, on top end, to squeeze the sheaves tighter thus belt slip....I see all most all P22 clutch sheaves with black belt marks, that means belt slipping..I also see the belt marks 1/2-3/4 from the top of the sheaves!!! means less track speed for sure, not full shift, I confirm that when I open the secondary, it too is far from the bottom....You could gear down to get the belt higher if needed...might help bottom end too...I have other issues with he P22 as well...

I fought through some bogs on my 22 boost.
Deep snow
  • air intakes plugging off. Solution (installed a silicone Silber 90* boost bypass intake, the reed valve on the 90 allows air to flow into the turbo when the factory inlets are plugged)
  • flimsy rubber 90 degree inlet to the turbo collapses when the intake vents get plugged. Solution (installed thick silicone Silber Turbos 90* boost bypass intake that will not collapse)
  • exhaust outlet getting restricted causing a bog on right hand turns. Solution (Built and added a 1" extension to the stock exhaust deflector)
  • rich bottom end causing poor throttle response. Solution (stage 1 Silber Turbo tune, cleaned up the bottom end substantially)
Moderate snow
  • exhaust outlet getting restricted causing a bog on right hand turns. Solution (Built and added a 1" extension to the stock exhaust deflector)
  • rich bottom end causing poor throttle response. Solution (stage 1 Silber Turbo tune, cleaned up the bottom end substantially)
I also replaced the P-22 clutch with a P-85 and a TRS Performance clutch kit with the primary shimmed to .020 belt to sheave clearance. I no longer have any black belt marks on my primary sheaves. I haven't had a bog since I did these upgrades.

No signs of belt slip on my p22 with a Carl's Clutch kit.

I'm not convinced the clutch kit itself is what's preventing the slip, since it's just weights and a washer to prevent the spring from binding.

I do ride in light snow. Maybe that's why I'm not experiencing it
