ATV is a 2005 Polaris Magnum 330 4x4 with maybe 80/100 hours.
I Picked up the ATV from my Aunt who bought it new from the dealer. It has sat for years not being used and the last time it was used she said it made a "clunk" noise but she had no idea what it was. The ATV looks brand new as it really has nothing on it for time.
I rebuilt the carburetor in it and put a new battery in. Got it running and took it north last weekend to the cabin for a shake down run and found this problem. It starts and idles perfect. At about half throttle it has nothing past it, just kind of level's off. Sitting in neutral if you try to rev the engine it gets to about half and level's off and will not "wind out" like a normal 4 stroke will when you rev it up. I went back through the carburetor and the thumb throttle is fully opening the carburetor and everything appears to be put back together correctly.
Anyone have any other ideas on what I should check on this? Could a busted spring or other clutch part in the clutching cause something like or is there something else in the carb I should be checking that I am just overlooking? I might have to take it into the dealer but I wanted to check everything I can before I do that.
Thanks for any help you guys can think of.
