Polaris 600ves 660 big bore topend NEW

This topend is new in the original package. Never installed. Opened today to take the pictures. We've had 4 of these from Straightline and they have really been amazing. This particular kit just never found a home to be installed in! I'am remodeling the house and could use the money. Typical 660 ves kit including bored-ported-replated cylinders ('02 and newer wide valve base ves#, pistons #Polaris OEM#, re-cut new valves, re-cut head #Hotseat billet replaceable inserts in this case). Setup with pump fuel head inserts now. High compression could be made up easily. I can't tell you how much of a improvement this setup has been! If you've been thinking about trying a 660, this is brand spankin new. I've got $1423.28 just in machine shop charges. Add in the cylinders and my Hotseat Head and it adds right up. I am listing this here first as I know this setup worked well at high altitude and sea level for me. I'll let this soak here for a bit and then hit C. List , Fleabay and every other site I can think of! PM or email or call with questions, offers or request for further details. moresnow@mchsi.com or 319-240-5901. The head is packed in a old Wiseco piston box. No wiseco pistons in this kit!

This will work fine on the newer HO models as long as they are carbed motors. Guess I should have clarified that! This can be installed on any Liberty smallblock 600, 500 bottom end. With some upper case half modifications this can be installed on the 440 Liberty ProX race bottom ends as well as the 440 IQR HO motors. I have a '06 440 IQR bottom end which has had the required machine work completed. I would part with that as well if someone wanted to repower there 440 racer in dramatic fashion, or stick it in a '06 and newer HO equipped RMK, IQ, fusion etc.

Ok, how much are you looking to get for it?

Also, did you bore the carbs with this setup?

I never used bored carbs. However a buddy of mine is running a set of 40mm carbs off a 800 motor with good results. Using the 40mm carbs off a 700 or 800 motor requires reworking the spacers etc between the carbs due to the fact that the 600 small block carb spacing is narrower than the big block. Not a big issue. We used the spacers from a 38mm small block carb set and we were good to go. I am not 100% sold on the carb boring. I wouldn't spend the extra $ on that. The stock pipe also works excellant. I tried a Aaen single with zero success. I ended up with a Carl's Cycle single which worked very well but was a bit spendy for the gains over stock. Price is $1500. My shop cost alone was over $1400 and then I still had to buy the cylinders and head etc. for the modifications. If you install this kit you can keep your original top end for trade in time or when you sell the sled down the road. Stock sleds sell easier. Just looking to re coup a good share of my investment. Thanks, Troy
