On March 26th, while on a demo ride for a new sled, Tony was in an unfortunate accident. The sled was at full throttle while pinned against a tree and Tony was trapped under it. The track was tearing at his chest and the exhaust was quickly overcoming him. Unable to reach the kill switch, Tony chose his only option; use his hands to cover the exhaust portal and suffocate the sled before it suffocated him. Tony suffered serious burns to both hands and severe damage to his chest from the snowmobiles track. His party rode him back to Bear Lodge where we was raced by ambulance to Sheridan Hospital then flown to the Greeley, Colorado Burn Center. As of April 9th, Tony has undergone two skin grafts to both hands and chest and has bruises to his lungs. Tony is looking forward towards an April 11th release from the burn center but will still be undergoing rehab and many follow up visits to the Greeley Burn Center for years to come. Tony remains determined and has a positive attitude towards his recovery process. This fund is established to give back to Tony some of what he has given to all of us over his years of association with the sport.
