Polaris 1080 belt

You shouldn't have to adjust the clutches, it is the exact spec as the 115 belt.

It just might not last as long.

Sled Guy is spot on about not lasting as long

Not to give S.G. a hard time (not at all my intent), he's given me some great tech advice often in the past..... the Polaris Belt chart shows the 3211080 belt is narrower than the 115 belt by a hair over .020".. the belt side angle is different as well.... 28 degrees compared to 26 degrees.

The 080 belt is a different compound and has a bit more grip to it... It will change your clutching a bit and you may have to change weights to get the same RPM.

The primary would need to be re-shimmed to get correct side clearance for proper performance .... you would need to check to confirm... shimming is not somthing that many people have the tools or experience with. Not a laymans job.

The strenght of the 080 belts pale in comparison to the 115 wich should survive a nuclear attack. The 115's are more abrasive on the primary clutch.

Was wondering if you can adjust your clutches to run the 1080 belt on a 700 RMK 2008-2009

You can run the gates 44x4640, I've had good luck with it. For the price, you can break three of them for every polaris belt. I get it from royalsupply.com at about $50.

mh is always correcting my info. :)

It is narrower on the chart, but in application I haven't seen it... I don't know the deal there.

Regardless, don't waist your money on the 080 belt on an IQ, it won't last.
