Polar Bear Club info please

Last Sept. a forum member gave me the name and phone number of the gal in charge of putting together the Polar Bear Watercross event. I called her and she gave me the low down on the planning etc.. I told her I'd check back with her in January to see how I can help make the event happen this year. Unfortunately, I misplaced her name and phone number.
Can anyone refresh my memory? It'd be much appreciated, thanks........Bob

The Watercross event takes a lot of people to make a yearly commitment to make the event happen. This is the main reason folks got burned out as it was just a few people that put in tremendous hours all year long. Cindy has done a great job!!!! It has been 12 years since we first started, 1/2 time show at a water ski tourney. By the way the inaugural event the riders were bribed with lotsa booze!!! Nowadays it takes way more than just having a good time to put on a responsible event that put a positive spotlight on our sport. It would be great if we could get more people to step up and get the event back on the schedule. If you need a veteran announcer let me know I have a bit of expirience.....

I can crash like the best of them...

September 31st.

i thought it was over for good.i sure hope your right:)
Its a bad joke Mike...Look at your calendar in September.

The Polar Bear Watercross is done, kaput, finished until a new crowd of experienced people with deep pockets and a limitles amount of time can step in and take it over.

Cindy retired from all the headaches associated with trying to pull off an event like that.
Too bad, It was a good time even without Thunderpud showing up and then welching on a $1000 bet with Fordy.:face-icon-small-coo

No kidding... Jim Phelan is still the biggest jackass there is......

First using video of the event in his pathetic DVD (T4?) and not getting the proper licensing for it... T

Then treating everyone at the club like they were idiots...Not acknowledging he "stole" from them.

Being "forced" to come back as a settlement for his misgivings...give exposure to the event and club...

And then betting me a grand on Snowest and not showing up. Hence the "gay" picture.....He's lucky that's all I did to embarass him. First class scumbag...and I mean that in the nicest way possible!

Bill and Cindy as well as everyone else did a great job on the event...Year after year...

Too bad it's dead...or is it?

If there was enough interest and people where willing to help out, would there be a possibility of it coming back????

No. It's dead.

All jump ramps, launch pads and finish line ramps are gone.

Someone could take what's left in supplies along with the "recipe" and start over though.
