Plugging VES cause air leak whistle sound?

Just wondering if anyone has noticed a whistling sound at idle after plugging exhaust valve hoses?

I'm going to check the intake boots tonight when I get home but was thinking about it today and realized that I never noticed the sound until the day I plugged the exhaust valves. I was thinking maybe it's coming from the open t-fitting from the vent solenoid.

Checked my plugs and they look to be a nice brown color. (don't look lean). Also the sled performed exceptionally better after the mod. Didn't feel any dead spots at any RPM.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks!

Unplug the valves and see if it's related or if it's something else

I tried duplicating the problem today but could not get the sled to make the sound. Pulled plugs again and found very nice looking color. Perfect tan/brown. However upon removal of airbox there were plenty of places on the air box itself and between the airbox and intake boots that easily could have been making a whistle sound. I cleaned the air box and sealed the seam with silicon.

Inspected the throttle body boots and found no tears or weak spots. I'm thinking that it was either the airbox itself or the t-fitting at the purge solenoid hose that I left open after plugging the exhaust valves.

Will put everything back together tomorrow once silicon has dried and retest. Will update on progress just in case the info is helpful to another IQ owner.
