PLease Tell Me Not All Americans Are This Ignorant About Canada??

It's sorta funny but also sorta disturbing how some Americans believe we Canadians live. I was recently down in Seattle for a Mariners vs: Jays game and in discussion with a couple of Americans I got such a charge out of how they believe we live in Igloos, crap through a hole in the ice, get around everywhere by dog sled and snowmobile, some of our currency is made of wood....etc, etc. They couldn't believe it was 100* in the Summer where I live, that we water ski and wake board, have beautiful vineyards and grow tons of variations of fruit. I'm not making fun, but enlighten me here and share some of the...or perhaps some of "your" beliefs about the Canadian lifestyle. Be honest! :beer;

They are just simple minded. They probably don't even know that Canada owns most of the natural gas and oil pipelines running through America and we pay Canadians to throw our gas down them :rolleyes: just naive un-educated folks. They probably park at star bucks in the morning with laptops

It is sad and pretty detremential to the USA itself. I mean MANY Americans know NOTHING about any other countries (heck many don't know anything about the one they live in). I've had it tons myself to, when I was in Montana and worse in Mexico, and the sad part is, Montana is pretty far behind for the most part, it's like steping back in time. It's a combination of stupidity and ignorance. Not all Americans are like this, but many are. Not saying Canada or other countries don't have the same thing, but it's not anywhere as bad.

I just find it funny how little people know, and how much USA depends on Canada.

You just got punked by some drunk city slicker Doush Bags!!:D:D

We're funny in a different kind of way here in the states!!:D

(LOL) :D I wish these guys were just yanking my chain. They we legitimately a couple of "Dorks".
Good comment about gettin across Sakatchabush. :D

I also find that so many Canadians are better educated about the USA than they are about their own country. I'd bet that more Canadians know that the US is democratically run by a "President" but would be hard pressed to tell you that Canada is under the dictatorship rule of a "Prime Minister".I'm not trying to start a Pi$$in match, I just thought it would be an entertaining thread.

Is Engrish yo secund rangrage? And holy run-on batman...

Oh and to blaspheme the people of two entire countries because you failed to relate to the few individuals you met on your tiny trip. You may reconsider unto whom the "stupidity and ignorance" shall apply.
