Is there a small button battery that keeps the memory for the MFD?
Not sure on the pro but the IQ had one for the clock.

On my 2010 assault I had that happen and it ended up being my voltage regulator and stator needed to be replaced. Have it checked out right away because if you ride it it may burn down the ECU. Not sure on your battery question.

Battery light flashing indicates a low voltage situation in the electrical system of the sled. This can be caused by a faulty stator, a short in the wiring, voltage regulator, or any number of other possibilities that are electrically related.

You NEED to get this checked out IMMEDIATELY to insure you don't damage your ECU.

I had a stator wire rub through and short out against my bulk-head several years ago and it gave me the 'battery' light in addition to a dim headlight and display, both of which completely cut out if I attempted to switch to high beam at idle. My dealer found the problem wire after about an hour of looking (I didn't have time to track it down personally at the time) and patched it up, been fine ever since.

Good luck:beer;
