Please help 2003 800HO pipe

Trying to help out a friend who just started sledding this yr.Took him out once and right after he bought 2 sleds.
The problem is he got at garage sale for $1500 and trailer. The bad it sat outside and the pipe under the heat shields is rusting bad. This pipe came with it in a box with other stuff. He tried putting on last night but he said it's 2-3 short of making it to the can-silencer.
I talked with Rich at Dyno Port and he was very nice and tried helping but......the plate should of had a date for yr of sled and it didn't.Not his fault he tried so here I am in Doo world were I know some knows what I have.
Trying to figure out if pipe is for none 800HO.It might be for a newer or older 2003 summit.I don't mind cutting on it to make fit by adding a few inches on end of pipe.Or I can chop on Can-silencer to lengthen it there.Would like to know if it's for the 800HO engine before I start hacking and whacking.
Again the pipe is to short by a few inches to reach can.I should be able to cut the flange off for do-nut right by flat bar and add 2" piece of pipe to lengthen it so it reaches the can. This pipe is 31" long and say the stock pipe is 29"long.
I've got wreckmaster trying to help me with his I think 2001.Does anyone know what I have here.?Is this pipe for the 800HO engine???????
Thanks from your fellow Ski doo brother from another mother.

Update
He just left so will get a pic of that in the morning. Just trying to help him out .He came over this morning and I spent some time welding holes and putting patches on his rusty pipe so he could ride today.Last ride it took out his oil and coolant bottle. I got caught in the middle of this so am the middle man.Dudes poor so just trying to help him keep it on the snow. Thanks for looking and trying.

Are the running boards narrow or wide? Can you take a picture of running boards andwher the exhaust exits the sled? The 01 exited farther back than the 02 which makes for a different pipe and can. Pictures would help.

pipe

Just what I didn't want to hear.:face-icon-small-fro
.I looked on dynoport's website and it showed the 2001 pipe without the flat bar on the end of it.

So I was having a little bit of hope.

Thanks guys really appreciate the input. Looking like the 2001 is winning.

Got a Cat with broken leg so if don't get the motor mount fixed by morning won't be riding our no snow mountain in the morning.

can & tunnel

tunnel can and pipe 2003 summit 800ho

Is the dynoport pipe going to work on this engine.???????

Sounds like the pipe is for the none 800 ho engine.

So in reality this dynoport pipe is longer so there is a 2-3" gap between pipe & can when trying to mate up.
Stock pipe around 29" long
Dynoport pipe 31" long

Any ideas ???????

Anyone got a real cheap stock pipe lying around that will fit this if the dynoport pipe doesn't work and is for none HO engine ?

Were in Washington by Portland.

Anyone else got a assumption ??????? Open to any opinions !!!

This pipe has serious cancer. If you hit it with the wire brush to get some weld on it it just makes another hole. The aluminum shroud is the only thing really holding it together.I finally told him quit picking at it or will be here all morning.Just scabbed a few pieces of brackets(simpson) and covered the big holes and welded the main seam back together. Was thinking there has to be someone who piped a summit ho and has a stock pipe laying around.

Seems it is a 01 if it's longer that explains it reaching farther back to get the can by the foot well.Guys broke so no ceramic coating on this thing.:nono:
Thanks for looking at your buddies 700. He did mention some thing about the donut by the y pipe not fitting very good with the aftermarket pipe.

The pipe does look like an 01 pipe (looked at a friends 01 700 today). Have you looked at having it coated? They say ceramatic coating could save the pipe but not 100% sure. The can diff is the 01 went out through the belly pan closer to the foot well. Will the p[ipe fit on the y-pipe with the donut? I would look for a 03 ho pipe . Will keep an ear out for one.
