I'm use to the ol chaincase, and running ratios of 1.9-2.15, the lower number of course being a taller gearing and vs.

BUT, how does it work with the DD and gearing? I know there are other factors such as driver size, ie...stock gearing is 60/60, which is 1? My gearing is 55/65 which is taller, right?

How does it compare or relate to the old chaincase, which is .846??? But I really don't know what it means.

Thanks for clarifying.

from the high performance engineering catalog gearing chart

60-60 2.24 ratio

55-65 2.65 ratio

the 60-60 will archieve a higher top end speed but may sacrifice low end accelleration.

the 55-65 will accelerate faster but wont have as high of a top speed.

Hmmmmmm, interesting, I thought I was running a taller gearing.

How come the gearing seems so much lower than the chaincase style? I remember if I geared the ol zx to 2.15 that was considered pretty darn low.

2.00 used to be a tall set of gears now you can get close to 3.00.

i am looking to gear my 2 09 m8's with 60-60 gears need the new reverse style DD gears. would swap for sets if someone wanted to gear down their m1000's. ski
