My boosted M8 is not not running right at all. The box lights all up when grabbing full the throttle and at all other settings green, yellow, red it has a blue dot at the end lighting up all the time. I don't believe this is right, is it? it is running fat and then lean. Has the box gone bad? is it wet? i run it on my dash.

thanx guys

It's probably the box...I had one that was doing the same thing. BUT, check the boost hose from the box to the airbox, make sure there are no kinks or pinched off. Blow it out, then try. OVS told me the blinking blue light means that the box didn't calibrate corrrectly, and you need to shut it off and let it cycle through. (My new one does this.) If this doesn't work its your boost sensor, and you'll need a new box.

You could try drying it out really well, but I doubt it.

The lights on the left go whatever color is currently being used, and if the blue light on the right is on, it means that it is also using boost enrichment.

That's how its supposed to work anyway....

That being said, mine acts a lot like what you are describing. At idle, and engagement RPM its rich (12-13:1). Mid range at medium throttle and medium RPM's its lean (as bad as 16:1) than full throttle under full boost its perfect (11.8-12.2)

I was thinking about getting ahold of Derek and seeing if I could get some custom programing or something to make it work better, but i've been having too much fun riding and I just watch the mid range lean spot. It will be nice to get it straightened out.

The last time ours went goofy there was a cracked hose where the boost feed tube attaches to the PL box. The silicone tube can look OK, but can have a small crack on the underside. We detected the leak by disconnecting the feed tube from the airbox and blowing on it. That let us know that we had a leak. It had been backfiring on the first part of the hill, losing power and going lean (16+ on the AFR) . Now it will be the first thing we check when things act up.
