plastic skins for snoscoot?

I've done a few searches, but wanted to try and confirm it.

The skis on a snoscoot that we picked up last week are in pretty good shape, so I am not looking to replace them yet.

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck cutting down and attaching plastic ski skins to the stock skis? If so - which ones should I order?

I had some from my '94 XLT. I gave them to my riding buddy and he cut them down to fit. Left them about an inch long in the back and trimmed them up around the pull loop. They seem to work ok.

full size skis are fine too ... the aftermarket ones for $250 a set (with loops & carbides) is a great mod.

Thanks - I was looking for a low cost route and then upgrading when she breaks something or they wear out!

Pull one of the skis off and pop into a local dealer with a supply of skins to check to see which one is closest fit (old style tundra / citation had narrow skis).
