Plastic Nose Piece/Scott Goggles

I picked up some Scott 89xi turbo goggles for this season. The goggles fit great with my HJC helmet without the plastic nose piece that comes with the goggles. I put the plastic piece on and I have found no way that I can make the goggles work with the plastic piece installed.

Has anyone been able to use the plastic nose piece for the goggles with their helmet, or is this feature to help prevent cold noses/cheeks just useless?

I have been using a neoprene face mask for the last few years, but thought I would try something new. Looks like I will keep using the mask, though I also got a breath deflector for the helmet. I think that might work fairly well.

I can't use it on my 661 helmet, but used to be able to use it on my old fox helmet. I think it just depends on the helmet and the space it has there.

The nose piece fits on the outside of my Fly helmet. Works great. Can't tuck it behind the nose though.

I tried that as well and thought it would work, but the goggles won't fit to my face well enough. I looked at the voltage pro airs also and they fit smaller in the helmet, and the nose piece would probably work with them. The 89xi's fit way better w/o the nose piece with my helmet, and I assumed the nose piece would work as well. Oh well, I guess I will just not use the nose piece. Thanks for the replies.

Mine fits good on my HJC clx-5 and love it. Man when its cold it is amazing how this little nose piece protects your face. IMO try to make it work.
