So I have been watching YouTube videos and searching the net. I even have a buddy that did his bumpers and grille on his truck. My question is has anyone done their tunnel? If so how did it work for snow build up and durability? I am thinking it is a alternative to powder coating. Cheaper, removable, and much easier.

What do you think? :face-icon-small-coo

Did it to my nytro I don't recommend it. Didn't last one ride and I had to patch it up no where near comparable to powder coat. But it did look good. Mine is powder coated now

Did all the wheels on our toter and trailer this year, and while it worked out alright, it is trashed after a year. And to do it right with the correct prep, and cleaning supplies etc, your costs probably will be similar. It is time that you will save….

But like said, it doesn't wear that well when used in an area with abuse such as a tunnel. And I would assume the plastic texture will hold snow rather than shed it. We just did it on the wheels of our rig because we did not have time to dismount, coat and mount them all!
