Although I haven't plastic dipped anything and it seems like a very good product. For the amount of work it would take to get everything stripped off the tunnel to dip it I would just wrap my tunnel.

Good topic and am undecided on the same choice. PlastiDip should be easier to touch up versus a wrap. But a wrap may be a little more durable - to a point.

I did the side of my tunnel and my side panels recently. Turned out great, but not sure how well it will hold up through the winter. I ran last year with my tunnel fully wrapped with 3M and it held up decent. I had to replace the rolled edge strip due to chips on the edge. I will let u know how well it holds up. I'm still runnin vinyl on the top of the tunnel.

I would think that a wrap will shed snow better than plasti-dip would, and would be lighter.

We will see about shedding snow this year, the plasti dip is definitely more grippier than vinyl, but really isn't any heavier than vinyl. Worst thing is that if I don't like it, I will peel it off and re-install the 3M vinyl. It is much easier to apply than vinyl that's for sure!

That is the best part with plasti dip, it's cheap and can be removed. It holds up well on bumpers and trim on trucks, so I would think it would work on a sled too. Let us know how if it sheds snow or holds it.

I'm hoping to give it a try on my tunnel this year, I've used it on the grill of my car, and it's held up great through all the car washes...I'm thinking the water will not be the issue, but it probably scrapes off easy where your boots hit....nice thing about it, it peels right off like it was never there! So if it doesn't turn out, I'm out a few bucks.

Guys... Plasti-dip is a great product for many uses, but it's specifically easy to remove... all it takes is scratching it, and it starts peeling.

In spots where it won't get hit/ scratched, I'd say it's a good idea, but on sled, where is that spot?

I've got it on the chrome grille of my trail rig, and it does a good job, but if a branch hits it, it peels a bit. I then spray that spot again, and it sticks pretty well, but looks pretty uneven. On my off road truck, no biggie, but on a sled I think you'll be doing it all the time.

Looks good on my RC car though... :D

Like said above, it comes off easy, so no biggie if it doesn't work, but from what I see using it, that's pretty likely that you'll end up peeling it off.
