Planning road trip...need a little help....

Planning a road trip btwn dec 3-24th. Planning to ride northern CO the 10th-11th, arrive in the Salt Lake area around 12th-13th and stay there until the 15th or 16th. Few days skiing, one or two riding. Can someone point me in the right direction of where I could unload for a good day of mt. riding on my way from Salt Lake to Jackson Hole? Preferably meet up with a few locals....?

My first consern is the fact you maybe alittle early for much playing. Some years are early but mid December is pushing the limits of enough snow for good coverage.
