Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to help stop my riser from moving. i have a rsi pivot block with 4 inch rsi risers with backcountry bend bars. I have tightend the bolts on the bottom of the risers as much as i feel is possible without breaking the bolts. Whenever i get into some bigger drops or get off balance and pull on the bars hard they always fold down. it gets fairly annoying in the backcountry when you can keep your bars in one place...

Thanks
this is the only picture i have of this setup. its always folding on the bottom tube pivot riser

Buddy of mine had the same problem last year. I drilled and tapped locating bolts into his.

I think he's looking into going with a different set-up, but I'm pretty sure my bolts worked.

PM him on here, Prosledder

I'll see if I can't dig up the pix i had of it. Took 10 mins to do, outside of buying the bolts..

Had him get the riser set exactly where he wanted it, marked it. Just drilled it out starting small, then tapped it. I think I ended up using 1/4"x20 bolt

May have even put nuts inside the tube, but can't remember.

Thanks for the info XC, ill defiantly have to try this. Im fed up with this setup so hopefully this will work for me!!!

Worth a shot, Ive seen how they get all chewed up and become useless anyways..

Just keep an eye on them, as your risers are quite a bit taller than the ones I drilled, so you'll have more torque on what bolts you put in.

Is yours the single bolt lower style or the double bolt lower.

How many times have you stripped it?

Do the two parts meet when you tighten down the bolts?

Your riser may be shot if so.

We had nothing but issues with RSI risers in our group. We will never use them again.

The risers pictured are from last year, they are 6 inch. Went to a 4 inch this year, only 3 rides on them. Single tighten bolt on each side, they haven't touch yet, it just feels like the bolt will break if I go any tighter

As XC6 said...I had the exact same issue. I'm running an RSI 4" riser with race bend flat bars. The riser has one bolt on the bottom to tighten...which I think is the obvious issue because I never had a problem with Fly's risers or the stock Polaris riser on my old IQr's. Not only is it hard on the riser, but it's always in the back of your mind when riding and that feeling stinks! XC6 drilled and tapped my riser and never had an issue since. I will be trying Dan Adam's bars this year. Good luck!
