Piston/Fuel Question-2009 Dragon

Just finished pulling PV's and Y pipe last night to check things out. Pistons are in great shape, side and skirt wise. Tops of each piston are still completely black though. What does this mean as far as the mixture being lean or rich? I have been using a PCV with various maps on and off.

if the piston is completely black it means it is running lean. In a rich situation, the fuel/air charge keeps the top of the piston clean.

Will try the SLP 216A map this Sat and see what happens...6000-6800 burble?

I've been running that map without an SLP pipe and it is the best I've tried. I keep the accellerator pump on even between 6-7000ft and it just seems spot on. Granted I should point out that I still have the original 08 mapping on my sled too.

Monte....Do you use the accellerator pump settings that SLP suggests with the 216A Map?

its in the notes section on the map.

I have never engaged/used the AccPump function before. Thought perhaps Monte was using different values than what SLP suggests. I know how to turn the function on. Will only be riding max 3500' this weekend due to weather(boondok'n meadows etc) so I thought I would try it as per SLP's notes with MAP. I also have a AutoTune unit on the way that a buddy I will share. Will see how that address the mid-range burble I have. Thanks.
