Pipe vs. Can

I may not be searching the right places but how necessary/"encouraged" is doing the pipe in addition to the can. is the can enough, what extra weight/power or other savings comes with the pipe. If it matters i'm probably going to stick with SLP.

Thanks for any input

A can saves weight and increases noise but does pretty much nothing for power. A pipe can add some power.

I have loved my slp pipe on my 2018 axys. Bottom end is so snappy. Top end is great. Need more time on my 2020 850, but at 80 miles 800 better bottom end 850 better top end

Just put an slp pipe on my 18 axys this season , had a can last year and I can say that it makes more power , small gains in bottom to mid but on top it rips ! seams like 5 mph easy , quicker , runs better ,added 2 grams , slp blue/pink , intake

Good choice sticking with SLP - tried and proven. I started with an HPS can on my 17 axys and sled would bog on deep powder days. Spoke with HPS and they said that I needed to add weight to the clutch and that would correct the bog, said this was somewhat common with their cans.
