Pipe Rubbing

Have any of you guys had your pipe rub against your bumper? Mine has been I bent the tab out to reposition the spring away from the bumper and added some rubber to protect the tab from rubbing.

Wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if there were any fixes to it?

I have a diamond s silencer on it as well.

Mine's rubbing bad with Diamond S too.

Everyone on here, that changed a bumper, said their pipe was rubbing. Guessing the ones that aren't saying, don't know.

So I put a washer on the pipe rubber and it seems to hold it off. I have a pretty good gap around my whole exhaust outlet. I can lean on it and I’m 200lbs and my gap is around 5/16 of an inch from the bumper.

I haven’t ridden it yet, but I am a little pissed that diamond s didn’t think of this. I didn’t get any directions with the can and I suppose it should be pretty straight forward to install.

I am an SLP guy and everyone told me this was the best option possible so I went for it.

I just noticed mine is rubbing hard on the bumper I have a slp can installed, I noticed it when I was looking for a display electrical issue. I'm going to look closer at the pipe when I install the backwoods bumper this week.

Same with my SLP... it's rubbing against and appears to be melting a bit.

I've tried a couple different cans and the pipe rubs the bumper on both. I just cut a piece of old inner tube and zip tied it in the place where it rubs. I thought it might melt, but have ran it for about 300 miles and all is good

I have a Diamond S can on mine and it rubs even with the spacer under the pipe. The can seals up to the belly pan perfectly though

My bmp front bumper came with a rubber spacer to slip under the oem pipe support bump.

I didn’t remove the pipe to install and it’s still 1/4” away so no rubbing as is.708AA286-CF15-4992-95E6-4C44B57FEBC2.jpeg

I have had both my AXYS rub from new and with SLP PIPE setup. New Matryx rubbed stock right off the floor. I have been putting a piece of heavy rubber tubing stuck to the tab that the pipe rubber sits on. I have also replaced the pipe rubber after inspection, they do get a little flattened and a new one helps. This raises it up some and stops the rubbing. I have had both stock and aftermarket bumpers and this has worked. I have also worked on the tabs included with pipes can and whatever and all helps. I have put many miles on both my AXYS with these fixes and no rubbing. Just trying to help with some other ideas.
