Pipe gasket seal

I had an 07 m8 and now have an 08 m8 and on both of them there is a tiny hole on the gasket seal where that little bump is on the y pipe. I don't notice any power difference but it shoots bits of oil all over the place. Do I just need a new gasket or can i put something on it that will stop the small leak? I have tried silicon but it seems to come off on the first ride. Any input would be great!

I use orange high temp silicone gasket maker. It works very well. Any auto parts store carries it and I think Walmart does too. GL oil splatter sux.

ive always used a good hightemp silicoln,a nice thin bead around the y pipe, then slide on the gromet/flange i then put a small bead on the end on the y pipe and the exhuast gromet/flange and install the pipe, and seams to always work for me,i dont put alot on just enough to get an even coverage

not saying this is the cure, its what has worked for me
