Pipe and Silencer

Hey guys,

Just picked up an '03 500f. It has some damage to the exhaust, so I am wondering... does anyone make an aftermarket setup for this, or should I stick with factory parts?

turbo al has made some cans, and the stock pipe came from jaws. other than that your going to have to have it custom buildt. where is the exhaust damaged? I have had good luck fixing mine with no preformance loss.

Thats actually pretty common, it can be fixed and fixing will be easier than find a new one.

congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. Lots of good people and good info here

Awesome... thanks for the info. After thinking about it for a while, I am probobly gonna have it repaired and ceramic coated. Parts seem to be rare for these things, so I want the exhaust to last a long time.

just broke mine off couple weeks ago. welded it back together, then took a peice if another pipe, slightly larger, cut it in half and welded that over the pipe and to the can. seems pretty good and has held up for 5 rides.
