PIPA/SOPA on craigslist?

Basically? Socialism.

SOPA is the STOP ONLINE PRIVACY ACT

Today, Mozilla is joining the virtual strike against Internet censorship – along with others like Wikipedia and Google – to raise awareness of US Congress legislation that could fundamentally alter the Internet we know and love.

This harmful legislation, called the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate, will be voted on as early as January 24th in the Senate.

If you live in the US, there's still time to help stop these bills from becoming law. Please visit mozilla.org/sopa for information on the bill, and on ways you can reach out to your senators.

What makes this legislation so bad? Here's how it would change the Web:
  • Communication platforms – from YouTube to Facebook to Amazon – could be shut down if a single rights holder alleges a violation.
  • It would make the Web less stable and less secure.
  • Social networking sites, like Twitter or Facebook, could be forced to track and control user behavior, stunting innovation and undermining free expression.
  • Your Internet provider could be required to inspect all of your traffic and browsing.
Visit mozilla.org/sopa right now for information – and make your voice heard before it's too late.

Please join today's strike, and help protect the Internet.

It's the real deal. Total control and monitoring. How nice.

the real reason they want to censor the internet is so that we cant communicate throught the web. theres some F'd up things planned, and the best way to keep it quiet, and to stop the spread of word like wildfire once they start, is to put a huge filter on the web.

even if that WASNT the case, lets say they're just going to censor the internet just because ( doesnt make sense, there's a BIG REASON WHY THERE DOING IT ) imagine how much of the world depends on the internet?

if businesses couldnt run, if people couldnt get the information they were seeking, even MORE people would take to the streets and demand our freedoms back. MORE people will be protesting, and rioting, and MORE violence and chaos would erupt.

with this new martial law bill that just passed that allows the government to arrest and detain anyone they want, deny them of trial, and hold them indefinitely, and not having to give any information about the people they arrest, they will have EVERY reason to start arresting huge numbers of people.

then when these people's family members go missing, the other family members are going to be like "WTF?!?!?!?!" and start more riots. then they too will be arrested indefinitely, and thrown into all these illegal prisons which those illegal prisons (concentration camps ) are now openly talked about. they dont have to let you go. they dont have to tell anyone where you are.

the bases that obama shut down have been converted into huge, fully guarded empty prisons.

theres massive amounts of disposible caskets being stored on leased land, and graves.

the visual proof is right in front of your eyes, what other proof do you need to suspect that something big is in the works?

just like the bible had the story of noas ark. flooding for 40 days and 40 nights. it was a harvest to get ride of the cancer on the earth, and the world as a society, iin the government's eyes have developed into a cancer. the illuminati is a huge influence on for people in power. skull & bones, secret societies, bohemian grove.

then you have the Georgia Guidestones:

Guidestones-9.jpg

written in 12 languages. as if the one New World Order or One World Government, high powers all over the world of different languages will be able to see that piece and read it and be proud of their accomplishments.

I know I shouldn't but I have to ask, What F'd up things are planned O wise one????

It's not socialism. But it is bad. It will restrict free speech on the internet and control what will be on the internet. It is regulation.

oh, and they JUST NOW had a Fox story of how homeland security suspects terrorists, and they consider people like me to be a terrorist. expressing views about what the government is up to.

well, there's millions of people that express their views publically such as me,

if they arrest millions of people for that, thats millions of people gone, and millions of people that they dont have to release, and dont have to give a trial to.

Wow, let's throw out common sense and get paranoid.

Normally you put a casket in a cement vault, cement is expensive and there are 2.5 million people in the us that die every year. Do you think maybe someone is trying to find a cheaper way around cement vaults???

Oh of course not, they must have been designed so "they" can kill us all and dispose of our bodies properly.

do a google search for REX 84.

and you made just one point.

but what about the censorship, and what about the new bill that just passed, and what about all the FEMA concentration camps that have been confirmed by Fox?

In a nutshell, if passed, website owners can be held liable for any copyright infringements because of content posted by its members! So, Joe forum member has some great helmet cam footage from his weekend riding. He dubs in a little AC/DC "Back in Black" in the background and innocently posts it on his favorite discussion forum. The copyright holder gets wind of this and files a lawsuit against the website owner who in turns goes out of business in the process of defending themselves from something that they had no hand in.

This is loaded with conspiracy...Protect IP and the government in cahoots....fawk me. Censoring the internet is outside of the US's jurisdiction....so who do they turn to? Holy fawk this is scary chit.

It is kind of funny how people hear the word conspiracy and freak...like it is all fairytale. Well it only takes 2 parties to collaborate and plan to do something in order for it to be called conspiring.

If Snowest did, you'd hear people whining about how they want $0.02 refunded for their premium membership.

There are only a handful of websites that are doing it. Wikipedia is by FAR the largest, Craiglist the next. Facebook, Yahoo, Google, Twitter, all of them are staying live.

I wonder if Thumpertalk will have any negative feedback from there paid members? They have like 310,100 members; I wonder how many are paid members?

Google at least has a black bar through google, so they recognized a little.... :face-icon-small-dis
