Ugh.... today at 3300 ft

Not a single rig in the main lot, and no surprise... it's all gravel except for about a 100 ft section in the shade:rant: Only 3 other rigs in the smaller lot, but a few sledders did show up at the hillclimbs. No pics though, wasn't worth the camera space.

The trail up from the snowpark was THIN! Only 3-6" of ice/snow coverage for the first 2 miles till you get to the first switchback... but still all covered for the moment. Scratchers did the trick today, temps never rose above 136F:D

The hillclimb was actually decent, windblown and spring snow, but still about 3-6-12 inches deep depending where you were at on the hill. Considering we haven't ridden in 3 weeks, it was worth it to get out of the house, but only just... nothing to get excited about, it still sucks.:face-icon-small-sad

I didn't take any pics at the main hillclimb, but here's a couple from the smaller one just to show all the junk flying around... there was debris EVERYWHERE!:eek: Blowing hard all day and about 40* up top.

Here's one from the hillclimb from 3 weeks ago... looked identical today except it was blowing 40 mph most of the day...

Was cool running into RMK2112 and his group at the climbs, that 700 sounds great!

Wow!This season has sure turned out to be a let down.Glad I spent a buttload of money building my turbo sled.I looked like there was 5 inches of new up at pigtail peak overnight but with those winds it sure didnt look like it from ur pics,thanks for the report.

Was great seeing you up there Seth!!

Those climbs are pretty nice, need some more snow to cover those Volkswagon sized boulders tho. :D

The cutoff to Rd 1000 was nothing but a mud road with sporadic ice patches, I shudder to think what Rd 1000 looked like.

You were able to get a sled stuck? Right on...It's been a month (more) since I've been able to doo that.

Yup, he ran out of momentum and couldn't get it around in time...

In the first couple pics of the long climb he made it out on the 2nd run... took me 4 attempts to finally make it out (stock pipe on my sled) I've got some vids from the day, just need to get them uploaded.

Wow what a difference a couple days make. Looks like we still have a long way to go though.....so there was plenty of snow cover on the trail up I assume?

Yup, the trail is covered solid, but very icey at the bottom. The snow we got was very fluffy and blew out from under the tracks going up... didn't need scratchers at any time tho so that was good:beer;

Don't worry about finding fresh snow... we pretty much tore the hell out of just about the entire climb:face-icon-small-sho:clock:

What else can you do when you're the only ones there.... :face-icon-small-hap
