I remember reading a while back where someone had added an extra spring to keep their oil pump on their 2009 M8 for sticking. I would like to do the same but, I'd sure love to see exactly how it is done.
I haven't verified mine is even actually sticking but, I have read enough posts that say "if you have a 2009 it's sticking" to make me think I had better deal with this issue?
If it is indeed sticking, is Cat replacing them under warranty and if so, is the replacement oil pump any better, or is adding another spring a better fix?
