Here are a few pics of the new TKI oil tank. Oil pump bolts into the bottom. Stock neck/cap and oil level sensor are reused. Can adjust the belt tension and remove drive cover without removing the tank. Comes raw like mine in the pictures - can costume power coat or they look awesome polished (summer project). You can see a peak of a polished version on Fakebook (TKI stories) - in a video at the Jackson hillclimb

How much does it hold?
A tiny bit less then the plastic tank and original oil pump housing. My plastic tank was full and after switching everything out and poring all the oil into the new tank it topped off in the plastic neck.

Does it have any baffles inside?
Not really necessary but it slows the sloshing and strengthens the tube tremendously.

I would also like for TKI to make a similar finned coolant reservoir that holds an additional quart. I think it would help with trail temps.

You machinist genius’s are welcome to provide Tki a 3D design and he will machine it right up for y’alls nitpicking asses.
Summit8, please submit your design to this thread first for approval first.

looks nice and and simple. an aluminum tube with ends welded in im guessing. no need to get complicated with it.

I spoke with Tom, 2yrs ago this month, about the coolant tank. He seemed interested at the time....?

The baffle was a question, not a design flaw statement.

Looks kinda cumbersome? Were there issues with the plastic one????
No issues with the plastic tank.

The new tank is a much simpler design. Tank and oil pump housed in one unit. No more secondary housing for the oil pump with brackets. No more brackets on the cover for the plastic tank. Tightening the belt tension much easier. Changing a belt much easier.

summit - no baffles.

Tom should look into making this a replacement for the stock oil tank also if guys aren’t going to a belt drive.
Hint hint

Was there a issue with the plastic tanks ? C3 powersports use to make a very nice aluminum tank but the mounting tabs would break at the welds

No issues with TKI's plastic tanks. The new tank simplifies the kit and can use the oil level sensor. The mounting brackets are bolted to the top and bottom caps, not welded on.

The new tank does work with the stock chain case cover, so you can just remove the stock oil tank/cover and put this in it's place. A TKI belt drive is not required to run this tank. Although the full belt drive kit is awesome, highly recommend it.

Also guys with the PCs, you will be covered also. When ordering, just specify you are using the tank on a Zuk motor and it will come with a bottom plate and elbow to hook the oil line too.

It's a multi purpose beast.
