Turned out to be a pretty good day. The snow was better than I expected and it seemed like everyone stayed home.

Nope. Even better, Draper. But we leave our sleds in the Uintas for our weekends. No time during the week to ride.
I suppose it is and it isn't. There's not a ton of open areas like that, but there is a lot of steep tight trees which is usually what I prefer.
Guardsman is great for a half day ride.

Im not to big on steep and deep this year.. But i will check it out for sure. It looked nice back there.

Yep Gaurds is for an early morning ride or after work ride. All day ride and you will run out of places to ride. Also too steep for me this year. Dont like the danger up there this year. Just not worth it to me unless you are the first ones up there after a storm and can beat up all the meadows.
So true. You definitely can't access anything else outside of the main guardsman area where everyone rides. What would make it really awesome is if you could access all the terrain behind Alta, Snowbird and even get down into AF. Oh well.
lol i love riding out of Gmans when avy conditions are good... this year, i dont trust anything up there
