what should come with my RMK when I pick it up? ie..manuals, chips, and so on. Making a long drive there and want to make sure I get everything. Also do they put oil in first tank of gas? Whats the best oil to run?

Make sure you pick up a quart of the proper semi synthetic oil to use in your first break in tank of fuel.
My dealer told me to use the regular VES gold plus oil (I guess he doesn't read the manual)
Pick up spare spark plugs.
Make sure track is in proper alignment (not rubbing on one side of the tunnel)

Make sure they setup the belt deflection properly (very important for maximum performance) and that they show you how to do it.

I would recommend a vent kit and belly pan protector.

Then ride it and enjoy!

The sled should come with:

  • Owner's manual
  • Two resistor plugs: ethanol and non-ethanol
  • Toolkit
  • Owner's manual supplement spec sheet

At least that's what I got. Hopefully I'm not missing anything important. The dealer should put oil in the first tank of gas for you. Mine gave me a half tank with oil.

After going back out to look I realized how pathetic the factory toolkit is. One spring adjust tool, one clutch belt removal tool, and one spark plug wrench with Torx on the end of the handle for the hood screws. Wow. Guess I better check out that thread about what extra tools to pack...

I picked mine up thursday, comes with a tool kit and manual...

Buy:
-Extra belt and extra plugs to stay on sled
-Plenty of VES Gold oil : put 16oz in the first full tank (syn oil is fine for mixed break-in gas)
-I bought the little bag that fits under the seat

I rode it friday and the only thing Im considering right now is a riser block to bring the bars up about an inch taller ... (anyone out there do this yet?)

I have done everything you listed above but Im still waiting to order the under seat bag. Do you think you can put a snowbunje and a a few bottles of water in it?

I am 6'5" and I installed a 2" riser on the bars and it is perfect. I also have the bag that goes under the seat. It makes for great storage but when you ride all morning in powder and then it freezes, which it kept doing to me, I couldn't get the zipper open. This stinks when your lunch is in there. It was also -5 out that day, but the snow was awesome.

i have a tunnel bag (not the under the seat one) from polaris and it seems to me that the zipper is bigger on the that then the little bag under the seat and the zipper is easier to open when icy.
