PHOTOS... MCX turbo installed in a 4tec

My guess is if BRP did release a boosted sled. It might be supercharger since they have that experiance from there very fast supercharged watercraft.

If someone can go to MCX website and paste those photos on SW would be great.

I finally see the 'intake' for the turbo..

So, I guess someone will have to do the elbow up and out the hood?

MCX leaves it this way so there is not "plastic cutting" required?

I think it'd be safe in rolls, but be concerned about it being a tree catcher..
OR, just go straight out the side belly pan. ;)

I think there may be a lot of snow plugging issues tho with it that far forward.. Hmmm..

I guess the location on my Impulse works really well..Easy to clean off, typically out of the snow, cept those "deep, over the hood all day long" powder days. :D

Rotax, my thoughts are the same, Perhaps it's just as easy to have R&M fab up 2 monster hood vents (1 for each side) to give that intake the fresh air it requires. Minor Fix IMO.....Plus the BBQ of a header might enjoy the cold air as well.

I like the locations of the intercooler as well lots of cold air at the nose cone and even if it does pack with snow the intercooler loves cold snow.

It looks like they kept the 30# plus suitcase off to the left, probably for noise. That will be gone in states the don't have noise laws in favor of a straight pipe dumping out the same hole.

What happens if you ditch the intercooler? I can't see that lasting long in the trees.

you get to run less boost and risk deto and just more heat in general, replacing an intercooler when you hit a tree seems like less of a deal than many extra ponies on a day to day basis. removing it seems sorta like people who wont run good fuel in turbo 2strokes because it costs to much.

That sounded funny coming from you .

those comments came from folks who rode with me during my first year on a sled, hell ive only got 3 years of off trail riding under my belt and i can out ride you and that village people looking avator you got anyday son, ive seen you ride in hatcher pass and ive seen the vids you post......good grief man, you're a poser with a turbo....
