Performance Chip

Hi I have a 2010 D8 was wondering if anyone has installed a performance chip on a sled and if it actually improves your HP like they say it does. I dont understand how it would improve HP by loading it up with more fuel and not more air. Any thoughts?

If your talkin about a tuner, yes it helps to get the proper fueling across the map. If your talking about the bs "performance chip" that they sell all over eBay that is a resister to trip out your IAT or MAP sensor, then it's a waste of your time and money.

benmin, I can see your a brand new SW member, but you are creating multiple IQ threads in the Pro Ride section of the forum.

There is no such thing as a "chip" that will create horse power. You can add a fuel controller to add or subtract fuel.
