PDP Tail Light

I just installed one of these on my sled, taillight works but when I hit the brake the light just goes completely out, when I test the factory wires with a test light the brake and tail light light up properly, Am I missing something??

I have not installed mine yet but I did test it out with my cordless drill battery and from memory the wires are not as labeled. The ground and brake light wires are switched. IIRC

I can check mine out again afterwork and update my post.

LoudHandle is correct the wires are not labeled correctly on the sticker on the light housing. I mix and matched the wires until I got the right combination.

I just rechecked mine, here is what I see:

Polarity is important, of course on the sled that should be a given.

Contrary to the labeling;
White is the ground / common
Red is the brake light hot lead
Black is the tail or running light hot lead

There is no guarantee that they are all wired like mine, as it is likely an imported product.

It is easy enough to figure out, with a minute or two and a battery.

Hope this helps!
