What I'd start with is the Stoutner Map that's preloaded into the PC-V you received, but modify the map to zero out any (-) figures...in other words, only allow the PC to add fuel, not subtract. Then, spend some time riding it and get some plug checks to see what they look like after some full throttle pulls. If they are rich, adjust accordingly, likewise for lean. The mapping software that came with the PC-V is pretty simple to use.
Also, get a dynotech research subscription ($25/year) and do some reading to get familiar with how the systems are used. It's pretty similar to a simplified fuel control unit on a jet, with much less input and no mechanical linkages (all electronic). Those with Autotune will be able to compose a map specific to their machine....HUGE benefit, but costs an additional couple hundred bucks.
