Hey all,
Just got a Pcv and was reading the install instructions. I see the settings for tps on the instructions, the deal with the speed and entering these values. Do I have to do this stuff or is all this loaded in the map I loaded in it?

SYNCHING THE PC-5 to the SLED

Hey all,

The T.P.S. is for synching the PC to the sled. The goal is you want your PC-5 to read 0% throttle opening when the sled is at idle and 100% throttle opening on the PC when you're at full throttle,

You have to have your laptop hooked to the PC-5 and sled either running or powered up with 12 volts at the 2-prong plug, P.T.O. side, hear the hood hinge area.

Details are in the instructions, but basically at idle, get the PC to accept and read 0%, and 100% at a full throttle "blip" on the stand or powered up w/12 volts

Hope this helps

thanks,

For those wondering, there is a three prong white plug, the positive to orange, negative to black/blue. It sits to the nose, left '10, right '09, those are the two sleds I have. Either way, searching Increase your IQ will take you hours trying to find that answer. I used a ATV battery and the cables from my multimeter. The link I found was for a 07, but weird, its still the same.

I couldn't find it at first either, ended up being under the Fusion section

I hooked mine up this morning. It was cake, It took longer to plug in the PCV, route the wires and mount it then it did to set it up. Once you have your PCV hooked up send your map to it it and then you can sync your TPS. I had to have my sled running to do this. I tried with juat 12v power and it would not work. (2009 D8).

You want a 0 reading at idle and 100 when you blip the throttle wide open.

Had my brand new 2010 800 Rmk out for the first time today,
VR is already toast just made it back to the trailer, and the mid range stumble was there. Now does a guy have to sync the tps, or is there still noticeable improvements / mid range stumble gone if you were just to load a map on the PCV. 2010 Rmk 800 155

The TPS has to be synced for the fuel changes from the PCV to be applied at the right times.
