PC-V Sync

I was syncing my power commander's TPS to the ECM on my 12 Assault. On the PC program screen on my computer showed a "Idle" position value of
.918. Is that the actual idle setting I would get if I were to check it with a TPS tester? Dumb question but I am waiting for my Polaris TPS tester harness to show up and wondering if the TPS is really that far out of spec on idle.

I realize the base setting is the important spec but this caught my eye and I was wonderingif this is contributing to the sleds DET issue.

If I remember right, it's not the tps setting, it's just what the pcv reads. I could be wrong, others should chime in.

Please check your tps when ya get your harness and compare, I would like to know too if it reads different.

tps

Pcv on computer screen and tps tester will show the same value. I have done both and have my own tps tester.

If that's the case, then I'm pretty far off at .918 idle(spec is .930-950?). Seems to run and start fine aside from the DET issue, which I'm hoping is clutch weight related. Won't be able to check the TPS until mid week but I'm riding it tomorrow. We'll see

plug ur pcv in and put your sled in the air and hit it all full throttle and see if it gives u 100% if it does u have nothing to worry about

if it doesnt then change your settings until it reads 100% throttle
when running the pcv all the time youll have no issue with it

It did show 100% at WOT when I was syncing it through the PCV. But that was powering it up through the ECM power plug. Not sure if it's the same.

That is the actual tps reading. We have compared the pcv reading to the polaris reading and its usually not the same but within .02 of eachother.

Also, doesn't the sled have to be warmed up to operating temp? Not sure why it would matter, but I was talking with PC the other day and that's what they said. We were talking about the pcv on my rzr 900xp tho, but can't see why that would be any different than on a sled.

det.

Is your sled actually in det. I was having det issuses with my 2011 with porting and slp pipe pa head. Sled ran very well for 800 or so miles with this combo than det. started. Few things i found and fixed, pin hole in bellow, plugged solenoid hose, rollers on primary. Sled back to running great but det. still going off. Unbolted sensor and ziptied off. Put 60 miles that day no problems. Pulled head off and no signs of det. at all, good wash. Pulled the slp off and saw were the pipe has been digging into the bulk head. This could possibly be the problem , the polaris det. is very sensitive. Could also be in combination with ****ty motor mounts that wont last.

Thanks Gopher, I will look into that. Rode yesterday in heavy warm pow and was having DET issues again. Added 1g to the weights(2g in the middle and 1g in the tip) and seemed to be less frequent with RPMs at 8050-8100 at 47mph. Only goes into limp when in mid throttle, never at wide open and is running good. Plugs show a little lean and will look at wash. Still waiting on my TPS harness for testing but will keep checking other ideas including switching the 3g to the middle hole and retorqing the knock sensor bolt.
