Big question...anyone here ever raced a Turbo Apex on the pavement?
if so...we need to chat.
I am setting up the mountain sled for pavement, I have the skid, track, skis
however i need some advice on gearing, clutching and cooling.
Gearing you will likely want to be 25/38 or 26/38 depending on what size driver you choose to run and how much boost you choose to run.
Cooling you will want to remove the thermostat and loop a hose over the back of the tunnel where it goes through the crossover tube a put a set of disconnects in it so you can plug into the system to cool it.
You will need a cool down cart (can be something simple). You can do it with some copper tube coiled up into a large cooler with a bilge pump or a battery (using water/ice to cool it). This way you have to buy ice. Or you can do it with a car radiator and electric fan setup with a bilge pump. Cycle the water from the sled through the radiator and cool it with the fan. You will want a bilge pump around 500gph rating.
well i will probably be running 20lbs boost, in the 1/4 mile
I like the raditor and fan option for cooling, just because no playing around if u want to hot lap
