Paulsons pulled Skidoo?

Anyone know if Paulsons in lacey droped there skidoo lineup?

Anyone got any more info on this? I checked there web site for a phone number and noticed there was no new skidoo's listed... Not even an option, and they do not have skidoo listed in there OEM parts list's anymore.

Did they drop skidoo?

i just got off phone with them

i called inquiring about snow gear they will not be carrying anything they told me. They told me money way tight and going thru major they called it "restructuring" So no snow gear at all!

Eventually there wont be any Ski-Doo dealerships. You'll just order your sled online and they'll drop ship it to you. Service will be sub contracted through Oil Can Henry's.

That would still be better service than Paulsons!

i live in lacey, just down the road from paulsons, and i make the 1.5 hour drive to issaquah or i have them mail/ship to my place - much better customer service and support. so no loss for me really.

They're done! Going to be only Kawi
No snowmobiles and no snomo service as of now. Sounds like maybe they were over leveraged.

Oh well, I guess I'll head up to enumclaw and talk to them next time I need a skidoo dealer. Enumclaw Suzuki picked up skidoo last year, I've only worked with them as them being MY customer but they were awsome in that respect.

This is BRP bull$h!t rearing its ugly head. The crap they pulled on Gonnasons and now this?

Good opportunity for someone to open a good Doo dealer in the area with Gonnasons and Paulsons out of the picture, those 2 sold alot of sleds when the economy was better.

I certainly don't know everything about the inner workings of a dealership but BRP I've heard has some interesting method's of doing business with their partners. Somehow they ratchet up your requirement to take inventory so you get more and more hung over the fence. So despite what demand might be you get a number "put" to you. When you fall behind and your flooring cost keep spilling over from year to year it eventually blows up. One dealer I talked said if they would have listened to him on what a realistic number would be based on market demand instead of dumping more and more sleds they cant sell some of these dealer's wouldn't be in such dire straights. I wasn't kidding on my earlier post. If somebody doesn't wake up and re-think the economics of how these places work there wont be any left.

Its all about there ###

I can tell you first hand experience that the manufactures will kill a dealership if you let them. I know of over 15 dealerships in a 300 mile radios of me that closed due to Flooring and inventory due to down economy. When my interest hit 6500 a month for 4 wheelers I could not sell I just told them to come get them and had to quit. I knew it was going to happen and I did every thing I could for 2 years to stop it but could not get any support from the manufacture and was forced to sell my franchise. Times are tough and every one is looking out for #1 themselves and why not all they do is find some other sucker to carry the line. The one that suffers in this is the consumer we had a successful dealership for over 20 years sold lots of sleds and have a good reputation but because we could not sell the atv and utvs we were forced out. I can tell you you have not seen the end of it either.

We are going to continue on in business just with out a line for now and hopefully doing performance and aftermarket stuff we can survive if not we will move on.:lock1:

"I can tell you you have not seen the end of it either"

i agree.bad economy and the stupid internet nowadays allows lazy people to buy sleds from across country from some megadealer and save 2 bucks.sad.

Well, turns out one of my riding buddies had snowchecked his new RMK Pro through paulsons and when I called him, he called them and they could only give him a number to contact polaris and that was it...They would not talk to him about the purchase. Turns out all there sleds were repo'd and they are filing for protection. Kawasaki ( as stated above ) is the only OEM they still offer.

Polaris is being pretty good about it and is going to forward his order to the dealer of his choice and Polaris ( not there dealer ) gave him the "hook up" as he said, not sure what he got but he ended up pretty happy,
