Parts swap?

Hey Guys,

Will a tailight off a 08 800 RMK work on an 07 700 RMk.
Picked up the wife an 07 that doesnt have the light under the seat. Have a line on one off an 08 that is mounted at the end of the tunnel.

What will I need to make the swap?

Thanks

Honestly....I would purchase a LED tail light and mount it under the seat. If you dont want a tail light under the seat just mount it at the back. All you need for either is some wire and rivets and maybe a little piece of aluminium angle iron if you go with an LED kit. I think they are cleaner than the big ugly light under the seat of my 07 or the big ugly light hanging on the back of my wifes 08. Just my 2 cents.....

To answer your question.....the tail light from the 08 will work....however there is also a "wire cover" that runs on top of the tunnel that you would need as well to cover your wiring from the seat back.

This would be the easiest.......

Thanks for the info.
I can get the complete system off the 08 for $60. Or have to deal with finding a Skinz rep then $60 for the IQ light & shipping & duty.

Dont even need the light, but it will be the wifes ride & figure safer is better for her first time riding

It should be pretty much plug and play to put the '08 tail light on a '07. Just get all the wiring harness and the long piece of aluminum that covers the wiring from the tank back to the light. You may have to splice the new wire in at the rear of the '07 seat. The tank and tank cowling are a little different on the '07 from the '08 and newer.

A regular LED light won't work. Polaris uses a double ground on the tail light (forget what the proper name is) they do make LED lights that will work on the dragon though. Thought I'd save you some money and head scratching.
