parking "ETIQUETTE"

What's next? It sounds like Lonnie would like to charge everyone a toll just to drive through "his" state. Why not try lowering costs? Just a thought.

Why not try riding in your own state under the BIG SKY if Wyoming is expensive for you. We won't miss you ! :D Plus MT has great riding if you can fend off the skiers !

Wyoming never has been quoted by me as “my” state, just very damn proud and lucky to have what I have at my disposal, just as you should be of your state. Lowering costs?:confused: Obviously you haven’t checked the recent value of the dollar? YOU, in the state that you live in, should have some kind of, let’s say, discount, on recreational fees that are charged to enjoy the great outdoors. If YOU have to pay 2.00 to park at a site and go hiking, I, being an out of stater wanting to enjoy what your state tax dollars are keeping together, should not flinch to pay 5.00 for that same parking spot! At least DOUBLE! That is why they are called tourism DOLLARS, not tourism CENTS… if they wish to have a toll at the park entrance, cool by me, just make it a buck for in-staters and 2 bucks for out of staters…:D
This thread started out as a parking issue, and I’m done trying to explain why states should charge out of staters more than in-staters here on this thread. Parking in ANY lot you are not familiar with will go much better if you just use common sense and ASK SOMEONE LOCAL! Newbie or not, common sense and courtesy goes one heck of a long way, and there’s plenty of space to share… :):beer;

LOL damn guys :rolleyes: I ride Cooke, Snowies, Horns, and Togwotee, and Cache valley ID

if you guys spent as much time arguing and piss matching each other over this as you could saving the closure of riding areas we could ride from jackson Hole to Calgary and only stopping for fuel :rolleyes:

Enjoy whats left of the season :beer;

Now that would be a ride my friend....:) And for all who are curious, it has snowed in Laramie overnite, not a lot,an inch or 2, so hopefully the mountains are gettin a nice dose of snow (won't know til morning) :D Supposedly, snow is in the forcast thru Thursday nite. Could make for another wonderful weekend, for those of us that won't be at the hill climbs in Jackson...:mad:

It snowed all day yesterday up there at our cabin. They got a foot. I should get another update in an hour or so.

Also, I don't know all the details, but it sounds like a guy from C. Springs missed a turn Wednesday evening on T trail heading down towards Q, hit a tree and was killed. Thoughts & prayers to his family & friends.

Exclamation parking "ETIQUETTE"

I'm speaking for alot of us here. Double parking at green rock is a great way to get your tires shot! So don't do it. This has been going on for a few years, knock it off or go somewhere else!

Interesting you can post something like this in this same thread earlier, then come back with a reply like you just posted??? So, are you the shooter or shooteeee? Just seems a bit hypocritical to me......

Empty can rattles the most....blzntrlss :rolleyes: Why don't you stop trying to pad your post count and find a new hobby?

Hey, thanks for the fresh powder this weekend, good luck finding any untouched though, we tore it all up for ya! :p

wasn't there a bunch of powder this weekend ck? You didn't get it all though, I did manage to track some up myself...And since they are saying a bunch of snow for today and a little for the next 2 days, I think tomorrow morning and Wednesday ought to look just as awesome!! Spring riding at it's best!! Did ya also see in Jackson, it was the first time in 42 winters they recorded 600 inches of snow? just awesome!! This was definately the winter to be riding, and just about anywhere!! Have a GREAT week all !!!:D:D:beer;:beer;

here's a shortcut to the article about the snowfall in Jackson....

granted a lot of it is common sense and being courteous, but come on - not everyone here has been to every parking lot and knows what the drill is.
For example, I was at Albany about a month ago, first time there, early am, during the week, the parking lot was snow covered, had 4 other vehicles in it, nobody around to ask, and damned if I knew what I was supposed to do.

didn't know this was a ignorance contest, but you win first prize

aren't we all supposed to be on the same team? it would really suck to drive by the trailhead parking lot full of tree-huggers and their non-motorized equip with a big no snowmobilers sign. (but i guess they wouldn't have trailer parking issues:rolleyes:)

By definition; Ignorance - meaning lack of knowledge or uninformed. Then yes I guess I was ignorant on the parking "rules" at the Albany lot.

So be it, you win, you're the better person. Whatever, enjoy your bliss :rolleyes:

Hey Lonnie, yeah the powder was awesome. I've never seen it that deep, I smell another road trip.....:D:beer;:D:beer;

I'm gonna try and get up there again later this afternoon (if the boss let's me out of work early enough that is) and I will try and let everyone know how it looks with a few pics. Saturday should be another great day, but by Monday it could be a completely different story the way the weatherman is talking. Hopefully he's wrong again!!
CK, if you are coming up here for the weekend, gimme a shout, gonna be up there most likely Saturday and Sunday cause a buddy of mine just picked up a new Poo dragon 7, (late in the year, better prices) and he's dying to try it out!

haha.. Think again MN boy.. Just because you and 5 of your buddies come out for a week or maybe 2 during the winter you think you support OUR mountain. Sorry flatlander us WYOMING riders would keep things open up on top just fine!! But thanks for your money either way.. We locals only have to deal with you guys at the lodges and when we try to eat.. As far as us buying gas down in town, Don't you flatlanders have gas cans ? haha ;)

Once a douche canoe always a douche canoe! So what is the deal only people from WY. are allowed to ride in Wy. or know the "sweet spots" that was the correct term was it not(from pre season). Um yeah they got this new thing called google earth we can all find your "sweet spots" now. oh wait you are not allowed to use google earth because it was built in CO. for Digital Globe. Oh yeah and if you perhaps need to fly someplace you will pay more because you are not allowed to fly out of DIA that again is in CO.

No, you are really allowed to do all this stuff, I was just making the point of how retarded you sound, like I said before, Once a douche canoe always a douche canoe

Hmm, I never had any trouble parking, just wasn't sure where to park. But okay, if you say so. I'm sure you're correct on all accounts no matter how it's presented.
Either way, have a nice day, and enjoy the spring snow!
