anyone ever paint the side panels on your pro wanna paint mine flat black just wonder what paint would hold up the best any info would be good thanks

I never have painted them but have had mine hydro dipped. I know you have to use the right paint that will bond with the plastics seen some that where wrong and on cold days the will break into peace's just riding down the trail.

The side panels are already painted... remove all decals and residue... Clean them well with soap and hot water... then wax/grease remover...Then scuff them up, nook and cranny, with scotch brite (but dont "burn" through the paint" and then paint them with a paint with some flex additive in it or just use U-Tech paint that you can get from a body shop supply... With the black topcoat... I really don't see a need to prime them as long as you dont wear through the paint that is already on the the panels.

It is actually cheaper, faster and better to do the prep yourself and then take them to a local body shop for a "cash" deal. Professional products... professional experience/application.

Rattle can paint will not be very durable.

.

I took mine to the body shop and asked what they would recommend for painting them they said scuff them up and they recommended using Sem paint that lordco carries for doing car bumpers ect so far mine have held up great did them flat black

I don't have any pics of when they were just flat black I only have pics of them after I wrapped them. They started out as white assault panels thought
