Painting Seat?

I am going to paint my 06 RMK and am wondering if anyone has used the vinyl Dye / Vinyl paint on ther red part of their seat. I am kind of worried about it flaking off because the vinyl gets stiff when its really cold.:beer;

Any info is appreciated.

If you can find a vinyl die I would say go for it. Paint on the other hand would flake for sure. Seats flex too much for paint

i have used the RustOleum vinyl spray paint and it held up amazing on a seat...even in the cold...spend the time to clean the material and prep it right and you will be happy with that. This paint has vinyl in it so that it flexes amazing...although i dont sit much so maybe hat would have been diff...def a better route would be to die it but more expensive and you maybe cant die the color you want over the existing color...my vote is recover it by an uphostry shop for 100 bucks....def do not by a factory or skinz cover for 225+ that is upsurd especially since you have to recover ityour self...

i had my seat recovered (red section only) and the guy in own charged me $150...a chit ton of $$ but looks great...and cheaper then a replacement for sure..

Don't paint it. My brother in law painted his four wheeler seat with vinyl paint and it is flaking off. Guido has the key 150.00 and you can get about any design you want.

It's not necessarily cheaper than a replacement. If the current seat/cover is in good condition it can be sold to recoup a good chunk of the cost of the replacement seat. It depends on what kind of deal one can get on a replacement seat.
