Painting knuckles

I had my A-arms powder coated, they don't do the knuckles. I have heard that you can't take them apart so they can't be Powder Coated. Can they be cleaned up and spray painted. Will it hurt the rubber or ruin any of the functionality or life expectantiecy. Thanks................

Are you talking about the heim joints? (Tie rod ends)? They cant be done because they have nylon in them. When powder coating is done they bake it at 4** some degrees so the nylon would melt. I suppose if you wanted to you could paint them no problem. Personally I left mine raw.

Heim joints, learn somthing new every day. Thaks for the input. I just got my A-arms done blue ski's are black and the Heim Joints are tan, not a good combo..............

Are you serious blue a-arms and black ski's with the gold color tie rod end I think that might be the color of about every other yamaha. You could paint them but why would you every sled has the anodized gold or silver tie rod end.
