Painting inside of trailer?

Has anyone tried painting the inside walls of a Wells Cargo? The walls do not have plywood but rather a thin, cheap looking wood on both the walls and ceiling. Just curious how well this would work before I buy the paint..

Good question.

I painted the lower section of bare plywood on mine right after I bought it. Used a brite white exterior house paint and it has lasted pretty good. The vinyl sheeting that is stretched over my upper panels is bubbling. I will be taking it off and painting those sections as well.

Hope it works out.

I sprayed the whole inside of mine with Thompson's Water Seal.
Seems to have helped that THIN wood covering last several more years with WET sleds in it.

Luaun

The thin ply wood like material is actually Luaun. I painted some luaun in another trailer with exterior oil based paint and it lasted quite well. Try to keep it dry.

If you have to replace any sections you'll be relieved to know that it is inexpensive.

I hope that helps.

2004 was our best season yet. We had 12" of snow over by the coast! Haha.

Seriously though there is no where nearby where I can sled. I have to drive 14 hours to Southern Colorado to get into some good terrain with good snow. There are some places in southern New Mexico but the snow is unpredictable and spotty. SoCo is where it's at for me.
