Just picked up a 2015 pro 155 with the black painted tunnel. 1st experience with painted parts like this. What are people doing to protect it from scratches?

Hoping the can of satin black I bought is the right color!!! The problem with painted anything on a sled in wear area's is it just won't last. My rails are chipping pretty badly with 400 miles, the tunnel and boards seem to be holding up much better.

Just run it and worry about it next year! 1 area on my tunnel around one of the ovals the paint chipped off, and a few small chips in the rails. I'll probably end up doing a tunnel wrap and powder coat the rails and running boards next year if it gets that bad.
Thats pretty sad if it chips off that easy. Remember the painted tunnels of the late 90's early 00's? Those tunnels held up great. It took some good quality stripper to remove that stuff.

Definitely just paint, along with the rails. You can see the yellow self etching primer under the chips on the rails. All the chips on my sled are very small, nobody knows they're their except me. I didn't expect much though.
As far as the rail chips...A black Sharpie is your friend!
Is it painted or powder coated? I powder coated my tunnel black and it sheds snow much better than ell my riding pals and no chipping on the running boards like my painted ones last year
