Paint peeling off from running boards

My sled is a 2016 model with about 300 miles on it, from basically day one the paint is peeling off like crazy from the running boards. I have no pics currently but it is really bad at the front of the board and on the sides - seems like traversing caused this. I was just reading the forum and I noticed someones pictures of a black sled with 1000km and the boards looked like new, this caused me to post the question because my sled is orange. Is the orange paint peeling off more than other colors? I use normal klim boots!

It was an issue on some 2016 models regardless of paint colour. The paint never adhered quite right from the beginning on some. I believe Polaris paid for some on warranty, so if you're still on comprehensive warranty you may be able to get it covered.

how do I go forward about this? Do I go to the dealer and complain?

Yup! Might help to dig up the old thread and print it off just so they don't think you're crazy, but sounds like you have legit reasoning to get some new boards...

The 15's did the same thing.

We'll without him sharing pics I guess we won't know. My 15 and my 16 both peeled minorly, nothing to worry about, but I have seen some cases where the paint has come off in large chunks on various sleds...

My 2016 had some flaking. Personally I thought it was normal wear and tear, but I mentioned it to them, didn't even really complain, and they got the claim in and warranty covered new boards.

My orange has been bulletproof for paint durability.

My brothers black flaked from day one.

I am traveling and away from my sled so I cannot post pics, but at the front of the running boards almost entire paint is missing at a length of about 35cm

My orange looks like new after 600 miles, even on top of running board nubs. I'm pretty impressed.

My running boards aren't peeling. There are multiple places where the paint is bubbling on the side ,corner and top of the tunnel. Dealer took pics called Polaris and was told to have me take it to a body shop to get stripped, sealed and repainted. Titanium color. Covered under warranty. I don't want to replace tunnel as it could cause problems down the road. Canada, totaled rebuild.
